Ireland is part of the United Kingdom and is Europe’s second largest island. The environment is very beautiful with its mountains, hills, and rocky coast. Ireland is very well known for its lush green fields and it has earned the nickname the Emerald Isle. The flag has three colours, orange representing Irish Protestants, green representing Irish Catholics and white representing harmony and unity between the two. There are many symbols we associate with Ireland such as the Irish Harp, Claddagh ring Celtic cross and of course the shamrock. I am representing Ireland because of my heritage, my ancestors are Irish and back home I see the influence it has on us all. Our culture, customs, language and music are a big part of our identity. My outfit inspiration comes from the tweed fabric , which has been produced in Northern counties of Ireland and the well-known Irish Flat Cap.
